After Ten years of unbroken success, the Red Bull X-Fighters once again arrived in Dubai, in April 2012 for its opening round of the new 2012-2013 season. The event brought in thousands of visitors to the venue in Jumeriah Beach Walk and once again was shown on television around the globe. The event took place under the patronage of HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai.
Using Styrofoam and fiberglass we provided the design concept, prototyping and the Fabrication and installation of the Dows.
Styrofoam and fiberglass are very popular materials for fabricating event decoration props and event decoration items for exhibition stands or events in Dubai and the UAE. Although very different substances, Styrofoam and fiberglass are used on many different occasions for making many different types of props and decoration items for events in Dubai. Dubai, April 23rd 2010: Chi at the Lodge will once again be packed to the rafters for another fight extravaganza as KO Promotions launches KO6, its latest series of championship bouts with the world's most exciting fighters.
Topping the card are three of the Philippines' most prominent boxers: Rey ‘Boom Boom’ Bautista, reigning WBO Intercontinental Super Bantamweight Champion; undefeated 22-year old Milan Melindo, ranked #1 in the World Boxing Organization standings; and the up and coming Hilario 'Bon Jovi' Canillas.
KO Promotions General Manager Zack Taumafai said: “Our goal is to continue to bring the best international fighters to Dubai in the KO series—offering Dubai fight fans superb action from world-standard fighters on a regular basis. While the UAE has its own fight scene, we want to open it up to the world.”
Bautista will face off with Arton Chanrot from Thailand, while Melindo will face Colombia's third-ranked flyweight boxer, Devis Perez, for a World Intercontinental Boxing Council fight. Fred Simon from Tanzania will stand off against Canillas in his first fight outside of Africa.
Thai boxing fans will be able to cheer on Mohammed Ali “The Stallion” Bayat and Simon Young, both from KO Gym, in a seven-round tag team bout, and an MMA fight will round out the evening.
The event is co-sanctioned by the World Boxing Council and the World Kickboxing Federation. KO Promotions has held five championship bouts featuring muay thai, kickboxing and boxing in Dubai in the past two years, and has hosted a number of prominent faces from the international fight scene, including Remy ‘the Flying Gentleman’ Bonjasky of Holland.
