• FREEJ Ramadan Promotion 2009

  For the annual charity fundraising Wafi Ramadan promotion, and in conjunction with Lammtara Pictures, we brought the popular FREEJ animation series to life at Wafi through a mall-wide promotion using the characters and iconic elements of the series. We were responsible for the design, fabrication and installation of the promotion, which included the following elements:
  
  • A giant, themed board-game in the main atrium
  • Re-creation of the FREEJ house, scaled to life-size, featuring models of the popular FREEJ characters
  • Themed ceiling decorations throughout whole mall
  • A fun and novel competition format with 3D models of one of the main characters hidden around the mall
  • FREEJ TV house where families and children were able to sit and watch the popular animated series on a large-screen TV
  • Photo opportunities with the characters
  • Silent auction of limited-edition, signed Freej art
  • Fun and educational interactive displays
  • A magnetic sticker wall for children to create their own scenes
  
  In addition to this we coordinated the design, fabrication and installation of nine merchandise kiosks from which licensed FREEJ products were sold. A percentage of the income generated from both sales and activities was donated to charity. Guests at Wafi were also treated to exclusive “meet & greet” opportunities with the walkabout life-sized characters every weekend in Souk Khan Murjan.

• Treasures of the Silk Road

  For this promotion, we turnkey managed the event during ten weeks of the Wafi Mall’s 2007 summer entertainment and décor promotion. We transformed the mall into the ancient Silk Route from Asia to Europe with trading pavilions, information boards, arches at each entrance, traditional games and displays of products traded in ancient times from each area.
  
  We were responsible for:
  • Research, theme and concept design
  • Fabrication, production and sourcing of all material and props
  • Installation of all elements and turnkey event management of the promotion

• Wafi Mall 2008 Display Stands

  The main theme of Wafi Mall’s summer promotion 2008 was a chance to win “a rare collection of beautiful things”, which was their newly launched ‘tag line’.
  We designed, fabricated, installed and maintained a series of specially designed stands on which they displayed the promotion information and prizes which included:
  
  • A custom-made outfit by renowned Spanish fashion designer Rafael Lopez,
  • Dinner for 10 people, every month for a year, in Wafi Mall’s restaurants,
  • A unique and specially commissioned Sevan Bicakci ring from the Turban Collection,
  • Children’s prizes, including pool passes, cinema tickets, shopping vouchers and unlimited access to the Encounter Zone. for one year.

• African Safari Promotion

  Answering a brief to devise a novel mechanism for customers to submit their Spend & Win Raffle coupons for the chance to win a Kenyan safari, we conceptualized, designed, fabricated and installed a giant elephant.
  
  By incorporating a vacuum in its trunk that sucked coupons into a collection receptacle, we provided a unique visual entertainment that captured the theme of the promotion.
  
  We were responsible for:

  • Design, production and installation of all elements

• Ramadan Pond Promotion 2007

  Our theme for this promotion was based on the client’s request for a unique and eye-catching charity donation mechanism. To meet this requirement, we created a large pond with themed landscaping into which customers launched small, decorative, floating lanterns.
  
  By donating a minimum of AED10 to charity, customers were given a ‘wishing lantern’ which they could set afloat on the pond with a personal wish so, as the evening progressed, the entire pond became covered with candle-burning lanterns.
  
  The roof drapes used for the Silk Road Promotion displays featured in the mall isles were embellished with organza fabric and hanging lanterns, and a giant moon and stars with curtain lights was hung from the main atrium ceiling.

• The Coliseum Italian Promotion

  We were commissioned to design and install all décor elements to support an Italian-themed promotion in the mall. We created a scaled replica of the Roman coliseum which was used as the kitchen and preparation area for the Segafredo Café, which was established in front of the coliseum for the duration of the promotion.
  
  In addition, we created a series of gondolas with mannequin gondoliers to display the products of mall tenants specializing in Italian merchandise.

• WAFI DSF 2010 ACRYLIC BAGS

  For DSF 2010 decor at Wafi we designed and fabricated 10 unique internally illuminated acrylic shopping bags which were place in strategic locations throughout Wafi during DSF 2010.  Click on the link below to veiw images.
